Geelong Camera Club Inc [Victoria]
Geelong Camera Club is the oldest camera club on mainland Australia For experienced photographers and provides opportunities for new folk to learn. Meets 7:30pm each Wednesday at the Barwon Valley Activity Centre Barwon Heads Road, Belmont (opposite K-Mart)

Hills Camera Club [Sydney]
We meet at Castle Hills twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7:45pm, unless otherwise stated. On one night there is a lecture about various subjects often by an external lecturer who has expertise in a particular field, or it may be a workshop or perhaps an outing covering a particular field. On the other night there is a competition. (they usually alternate, but on occasions may be changed due to availability of lecturers etc.) The competition may be an open where you can enter photos of any type or it may be a set subject such as landscape or the colour red where the main subject or principal colour is red. The competition is judged by a variety of people both external judges and people from within the club. The judge generally discusses each photo, its merits with where and how improvements can be made. I find these comments very helpful as you see both your own and other peoples work and learn to improve composition and technique in your own work as a result. Other members are happy to help out with advice and explanations. A learning session can be organized for anyone interested.
